SYNOPSIS

It is 1992 in South Africa and Milisuthando enjoys her protected childhood in „The Republic of Transkei“- an area set aside for black South Africans of Xhosa descent. She has no idea of the impending racial calamity beyond her hometown. When Transkei is dissolved by the arrival of apartheid, Milisuthando is part of the first generation of black children who attend „White only“ schools. 25 years later, Milisuthando wonders why South Africa seems to be returning to its ugly racial past.
